Danger: Russian Satellite breaks up in Orbit
A Russian satellite smashed into 100 pieces in Orbit last Wednesday.
This sudden event forced the ISS onboard astronauts to take shelter for an hour.
The involved satellite is RESURS-P1, which is an earth observation satellite.
This Satellite was declared dead in 2022 by ROSCOSMOS
There are already thousands of space debris orbiting the planet.
Among them approx. 25,000 are more than 10cm large and are being tracked by different agencies.
The cause of this accident still remains unknown. It was orbiting 220 miles above the ground.
