Space Diamonds Seen by James Webb Telescope
Recently James Webb Telescope photographed an image of quasar RX J1131-1231looking like a Diamond ring
Although blurry, due to effect of gravitational lensing, it looked like a beautiful diamond ring.
RX J1131-1231 is a supermassive black-hole with quasar, a luminous active galactic nucleus.
James Webb Telescope used its MIRI (Mid-Infrared Instrument) to take this image.
This quasar is located approx. 6 billion light years from earth in the constellation called "Crater".
Envisioned by Einstein himself, Gravitational lensing works similar to a telescope by magnifying light from the source.
James Webb telescope studies our Galaxy including creation of matter and antimatter also observing large source of light.
James Webb cost US$824.8 million excluding the launch cost paid by NASA.
